Design ideas for ceilings

A hotel space that shapes the first impression

A hotel space that shapes the first impression

The first seconds in a hotel are not only about service or the receptionist’s smile. They are about the feeling of space, light, and harmony that shapes the impression even before check-in. That is why the reception area and corridors become key design points — they set the tone for the entire stay.

In this project, the architectural ceiling became not just a part of the interior, but its foundation. It creates rhythm, guides movement, and establishes that perfect balance between restraint and aesthetics that is so valued in modern hotel spaces.

Clarity of form and a sense of order

At the core of the solution is the KRAFT cubic slat 65×35 mm. Its precise shape creates an ordered geometry that visually structures the space and adds depth. The combination of RAL 9003 and the “Hickory” texture achieves a natural balance: pure white brings lightness and brightness, while the wood tone adds warmth and comfort.

This combination is especially important for hotels — it creates a neutral yet emotionally pleasant background suitable for different types of guests.

A lighting scenario without overload

The integrated K-LED lighting in this project does more than just illuminate the space. It becomes part of the ceiling composition, emphasizing the lines of the slats and supporting their rhythm.

Even, soft lighting without harsh contrasts ensures comfortable perception of the space — both in the reception area and in the corridors. This is particularly important in a hotel environment, where lighting should be subtle yet sufficient for orientation and relaxation.

Identity through details

A hotel is more than just rooms. It is a holistic experience built from details. In this project, the ceiling became the element that unites all zones into a single concept.

The rhythm of the slats, the color combinations, and the integrated lighting all form a recognizable visual language. This approach allows the creation of not just an interior, but a hotel character — modern, restrained, yet warm.

KRAFT as a tool for creating impressions

This project proves that an architectural ceiling can be more than a technical element. It can shape эмоtion, guide perception, and highlight the identity of a space.

KRAFT systems give designers the freedom to work with form, light, and color without compromising functionality. Thanks to this, the hotel space becomes thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail — memorable at first glance and lasting in memory.
